A native of Freeport in Florida's Emerald Coast, Kimberly attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and Certification to teach 9-12 grades in all areas of social science.

Upon graduation Kimberly was employed by McNeese Title, LLC in Destin, Florida as a Title Insurance Agent and Closer. That experience instilled her passion for real estate law and prompted her to pursue her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. While attending law school she became a member of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi and served as President of the Women's Student Bar Association. Kimberly graduated from MCSOL in May of 2009.

After graduating from law school, Kimberly moved home to Walton County. In February 2010 she joined Matthews & Hawkins, P.A., with a focus on real estate transactions, loan workouts and real estate litigation.
