Areas of Practice
Tom is a litigation lawyer practicing in the areas of Business Litigation (including contract disputes, real estate litigation, employment litigation, and condominium law), Family Law (including divorce, child custody, paternity, and child support), and Estate Planning. Tom has significant experience and has successfully represented clients in state, federal, and appellate courts. Tom’s experience includes jury and bench trials, as well as mediations and arbitrations. Tom has also been a presenter on the topic of “Beach Rights” in Florida.
In 2014, Tom was appointed to serve a six-year term on the Florida Bar’s First Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee. Following his commitment to the service of others, Tom routinely provides significant pro bono legal services to those in need.
Tom received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, and his B.S. from Virginia Tech. While in law school, Tom receive awards for the highest grades in International Taxation and Business Entities Taxation.
Admissions and Professional Memberships
Tom is a member of the Florida Bar, District of Columbia Bar, Alaska Bar, and Georgia Bar. Tom is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
Tom grew up in McLean, Virginia as the son of two longtime federal employees. Except for his time as a prosecutor in Alaska, Tom has called North Florida home since 2001. Tom currently lives in North Okaloosa County with his wife and two children.
