Kendra grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended the Loyola University School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review. After graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1990, Kendra was admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar and served as a law clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before returning to private practice in New Orleans.
Kendra was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1991. She practiced all aspects of traditional civil litigation with the firm of Raymond Burkart from 1991 through 1999 in the areas of contracts, personal injury, medical malpractice, labor and employment, family law, and products liability. In 2000, Kendra joined the New Orleans firm of Frilot, Partridge, Kohnke & Clements, P.A. primarily practicing in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, class action, asbestos, unfair trade practices, and general civil litigation.
Kendra relocated to Destin, Florida after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans and joined Matthews & Hawkins, P.A. in October of 2005. She currently represents a broad range of clients in civil litigation in the areas of real estate, business, family law, and general tort, including personal injury. She handles jury trials, judge trials, and arbitration hearings. Kendra has several reported decisions in the Court of Appeal of Louisiana as well as the Louisiana Supreme Court.
